Blue Ridge Heritage Farm
Preserving Agricultural Heritage, One Generation at a Time

About Blue Ridge Heritage Farm
Blue Ridge Heritage Farm is a small family farm located in Berkeley County, West Virginia. Originally a dairy farm established in the early 1900s, this historic property continues its agricultural legacy under the careful stewardship of our family. We are committed to honoring the land’s history while building a sustainable and meaningful future through responsible farming practices.
Our mission is to preserve the traditions of small-scale agriculture by raising heritage and rare livestock breeds, practicing regenerative land management, and passing down practical skills to the next generation. We believe farming is more than production—it is character building, community strengthening, and a way of life rooted in stewardship, resilience, and gratitude.
Our Livestock & Products

Heritage Livestock Breeds
We raise heritage and rare livestock breeds including lionhead and French lop rabbits, silkie chickens, and pigs. Our commitment to breeding these unique animals helps preserve agricultural biodiversity while supporting sustainable, small-scale farming practices.

Fresh Farm Eggs
Our silkie chickens and heritage poultry produce fresh, high-quality eggs. Raised with ethical animal husbandry practices on our historic farmstead, our eggs reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Agricultural Education & Community Engagement
Blue Ridge Heritage Farm serves as a living classroom for hands-on agricultural education. Through 4-H and FFA involvement, we inspire the next generation of farmers and homesteaders by teaching the skills, values, and traditions of rural life and self-sufficiency.
Our Story
Blue Ridge Heritage Farm was born from both history and heart. The land we steward today was originally settled as part of the Fairfax Land Grant and has been a part of the agricultural history of Berkeley County, WV, since the early 1900s. The Colonial Revival farmhouse was built in 1903, and the barn shortly after in 1912, when the property operated as a working dairy under the Feltner and White families.
In 2025, our family became the sixth owners of this historic farmstead, honored to serve as the next caretakers of land that has sustained generations before us.
Our passion for farming is deeply personal. Our founder’s father grew up on a tobacco farm in Petersburg, Virginia, and instilled a lifelong respect for agriculture, land stewardship, and the dignity of hard work. Though he passed away in 2019, his legacy lives on through this farm and through a renewed commitment to keep farming not just alive—but meaningful.
Blue Ridge Heritage Farm exists so our children can grow up with muddy boots, early mornings, and a genuine connection to where food comes from. We believe children should learn responsibility that comes from the hard work of caring for animals, patience by planting seeds, and gratitude by witnessing the cycles of life firsthand.
Through heritage livestock breeding, participation in 4-H and FFA, and a commitment to regenerative, family-scale farming, we are building more than a farm—we are building a legacy. One rooted in tradition, guided by love, and built for generations yet to come.
